Clearwater

Why do you need Clearwater?

We help you solve your water quality, well operations, maintenance and  water storage management problems.

Our approach is rooted in evidence-based scientific and engineering principles that have demonstrated their effectiveness in real-world applications.

We use only the highest quality materials and installation techniques.

We help people with “water source issues”.
Things like…

Sensory or Aesthetic Issues:

Color

Well waters are often discolored from suspended iron precipitates from the rock parent materials making up the borehole and aquifer materials.  Tannic/humic/fulvic acids from organic matter decay in topsoils that may enter the well casing through percolation and may also lend unfavorable pigments to drinking water. These color compounds may also interfere with UV sterilization systems by directly blocking (suspended particles) or adsorbing some of the ultraviolet light that is needed to inactivate microbes.

Odor

Well waters may contain hydrogen sulfide that produces a characteristically foul rotten egg odor.  Municipally-supplied water will typically contain by-products of the chlorination process used for disinfection that give the water an unpleasant odor.

Taste

Many compounds are responsible for giving water an subjectively unpleasant taste.

High levels of naturally occurring minerals:

Microbial Contamination

Wells may be contaminated with microbes that are potentially pathogenic via surface or upstream contamination by coliform type organisms.

Bacteria that are naturally present in the subsurface that use reduced sources of Iron for energy (iron bacteria ) can grow in these systems and result in biofouling of the water distribution system within the household.

Acid Water

Many wells in the area produce acidic waters that can greatly increase the corrosion of metal pipes and increase the leaching of metals  (mainly copper and lead) from household plumbing into drinking water.

Types of Systems:

Point of Use

Smaller systems that protect individual water connections in your home. (For example: a filter for your kitchen faucet, or a water softener for your shower.)

Whole-house

Systems that protect your whole house’s water at the point of entry from the well or municipal water source. (Like the systems pictured here.)

Your Water Can Be Perfect for You.

No matter where it’s been before it gets to your house, we can make sure that your water is exactly how it should be when it comes out of the faucet.

If you want your water without the “extras”, you should have it that way. And you can.

We want you and your loved ones to have perfect water.

Let’s have a conversation about how to get it there.
